Lukáš Lev Červinka, PhD et PhD, is the Academic Coordinator of the Centre for Constitutionalism and Human Rights and a researcher in the Department of Constitutional Law. Since September 2025, he has also been a visiting researcher at the UCD Centre for Constitutional Studies.

He graduated from Charles University, Faculty of Law (PhD, JUDr., Mgr.) and from the Department of Economics, Ca‘ Foscari University of Venice (PhD). He has studied at the Sutherland School of Law, University College Dublin (Erasmus+ visit) and was a visiting scholar at the International Institute for the Sociology of Law in Oñati, Kings College London and Cardiff University.

He is also a member of IACL-AIDC Research Group Membership and Exclusion Under Constitutions, RCSL Working Group Sociology of Constitutions, and the British Socio-Legal Studies Association.

In 2025, he has been appointed as alternate member of Management Board of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) for the term 2025-2030.

His main areas of interest are:

  • constitutional theory,
  • socio-legal studies,
  • social systems theory,
  • comparative constitutional law,
  • hegemony,
  • (anti-)establishment thinking.

Besides his academic career, he is interested in the popularisation of science, for which purpose he has founded Hermeniculum: Institute of Popular Constitutional Hermeneutics
