Conference: The Ethical Foundations of Constitutional Governance in the MENA Region, May 04, 2025 at Doha institute for Graduate Studies, Qatar

This conference marked the launch of the ERC Project RECONCILE, titled "Community Through Constitution: Researching How Constitutions Construct Identity and Legitimacy in Europe and MENA." It was hosted by the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in Doha, Qatar

The Institute for the Interregional Study of Constitutionalism at Charles University, in collaboration with the Edinburgh Centre for Constitutional Law and the University of New South Wales Institute for Global Development, organized a conference titled "The Ethical Foundations of Constitutional Governance in the MENA Region" on May 4-5, 2025. This conference marked the launch of the ERC Project RECONCILE, titled "Community Through Constitution: Researching How Constitutions Construct Identity and Legitimacy in Europe and MENA." It was hosted by the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in Doha, Qatar. The event brought together a diverse group of academics and practitioners specializing in constitutionalism within the MENA region. Participants engaged in discussions on various aspects of constitutional governance, exploring the foundations and prospects of a new ethical-political project for the MENA region. The conference aimed to establish a network on constitutional governance in the MENA region through academic events, scientific collaborations, cooperation with stakeholders and practical engagement with policymakers and legal professionals.
